A nature work site to preserve local biodiversity on March 8th in Maroeuil!

This year, the Main Square Festival is committed to preserving local biodiversity by highlighting the work of the Conservatoire d’espaces naturels des Hauts-de-France. As part of this initiative, a participatory Nature Worksite is organized on Saturday, March 8, 2025, offering nature and music lovers a great opportunity to act for the environment.

An eco-friendly work site open to volunteers

The Conservatoire d’espaces naturels des Hauts-de-France is looking for 30 volunteers ready to roll up their sleeves to contribute to the ecological maintenance of the Marais de Maroeuil, a remarkable natural site in the Arrageois region.
From 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, volunteers will participate in tree pruning and brush clearing activities, essential for maintaining an open marsh and preserving grazing areas for the animals that live there during the beautiful season.
To thank participants for their commitment, each volunteer will receive a day pass for the Main Square Festival 2025! A great way to combine ecological engagement and musical enjoyment.

A commitment that continues during the MAIN SQUARE FESTIVAL

The action in favor of biodiversity does not stop there! This year, festival-goers will also have the opportunity to make a micro-donation of 2€ when purchasing their festival ticket. These funds will be used to finance a tree planting project on the site of the Marais Philippe Rapeneau in Fampoux in the autumn of 2025, as part of an ecological conversion of a poplar grove.

Finally, to learn more about the protection of natural spaces, festival-goers will find the Conservatoire d’espaces naturels des Hauts-de-France at the Associations Village throughout the festival, from July 4 to 6, 2025.

Together, let’s act to preserve local biodiversity while celebrating music!
