During a festival, it is really important to drink and eat in order to be in the best shape to enjoy the shows all day long.

The Main Square Festival provides, on the area, many stalls where you will find a wide range of foods and beverages offers to refresh yourself and eat.

CASH

On the festival ground, many stalls offer paid-for services : beverages, foods and merchandising. You will be able to pay by cash or credit card at these dedicated desks.

DO’S AND DONT'S ON THE FESTIVAL SITE

The Main Square Festival welcomes 40 000 persons per day on the festival ground. For the safety of all, some rules must be respected during the event and some objects aren’t allowed in the area.

Please take a look at the list below :

NOT ALLOWED OBJECTS

  • Glass and plastic bottles, cans, paper and plastic cups
  • Weapons, explosive, inflammable and volatile substances
  • Pyrotechnic stuff, candles
  • Sharp objects, pocket or other knives
  • Any objects which might be used as a projectile
  • Professionnal audiovisual recording equipments (professionnal camera, video camera, DAT or MD recorder)
  • Folding chairs, large backpacks, tents and all kinds of camping gear (to the camper, you should set up your camp before your venue on the festival ground), plates and flasks
  • Flagpoles, parasols, non-retractable umbrella’s with pins
  • Bicycle pumps and bicycle repair equipment, crash helmet
  • Flyers, stickers and other political, religious or promotional material

ALLOWED OBJECTS

  • Simple disposable or pocket cameras
  • Sandwiches
  • Retractable umbrellas without pin
  • Plastic and blankets
  • Sun lotion and sun glasses
  • Small backpacks or other bags

SAFELOCKERS

To enjoy the gigs free and easy, safelockers will be available at the entrance of the ground.

How to get there?

Where is the festival site?

The Main Square Festival takes place in the Citadel of Arras, General De Gaulle’s Boulevard, Arras in the Nord – Pas-de-Calais. The area is located in the heart of the city.

The city of Arras is a crossroad in the heart of Europe. It is located halfway between Paris, Brussels and London. There are many ways to come to the city.

Thanks to the following info, you will be able to choose your best one.

But to be free and easy, without traffic-jam or troubles to park, we encourage you to use public transportation to come to the festival ground.

GETTING THERE BY TRAIN

Since the beginning of the Main Square Festival, the SNCF has been an efficient partner of the event offering you the best way to come on the festival ground.

By choosing train, you think green and your mind is completely free. No traffic-jam, no problem to park, no danger during your trip !

The Arras train station is served by many trains (Local and High-speed train). It’s located at about 1 000 meters to the festival site.

From Paris to Arras

  • Take Motorway A1 and follow Lille
  • Take exit n°15 to Arras.

  • Arriving at Arras, follow the arrowed course to the festival area or to the car-parks.

From Lille to Arras

  • Take Motorway A1 and follow Paris
  • Take exit n°16 and follow « Arras-Centre ».
  • Follow « Arras » on D950
  • Arriving at Arras, follow the arrowed course to the festival area or to the car-parks.

Lille – Lesquin Airport

Located in the south of Lille, this airport is at 45 km from Arras. It welcomes many flights (regular and low-cost) from a,d to many cities accross Europe.
